Partner Feature: CU Hawaii
Throughout the pandemic CU Hawaii has kept member and employee safety a top priority. Encouraging members to use a wide variety of electronic services, such as the mobile app, remote deposit capture and ATMs has allowed CU Hawaii to maintain an exceptional level of member service in these challenging times. The credit union furthered its commitment to member service and safety by partnering with Keiki Heroes in early 2021. CU Hawaii’s Hilo Branch is a Recharging Station where Keiki Heroes are rewarded with buttons and stickers for their vigilant efforts in keeping their families and community safe.
“It has been a long-standing tradition at our Hilo Branch to serve cookies and juice to keiki when visiting, due to COVID safety protocols we were forced to stop that service,” said VP of Member Services Lynn Nuniez. “As a Keiki Heroes Recharging Station we are able to continue to put smiles on the faces of kids whether they are in the branch out in the drive thru, still advocating COVID safety and responsibility, keeping our membership and community safe and healthy.”
Children have experienced so much change in the past year, such remote schooling, not seeing friends and family and perhaps even witnessing the heartache of a parent losing their job. Recharging Stations, like CU Hawaii, praise keiki for their resilience and encourage them to keep up the good work.
