Kai and Hōkū Explore Foods of Hawai’i Launched
On November 19th, Kai and Hōkū Explore Foods of Hawai‘i was launched in a collaboration with Farm to Keiki, The Food Basket – DA BUX, Center for Getting Things Started, and Keiki Heroes.
Co-authored by Tiana Kamen and Dr. Koh Ming Wei, this book for children (2-8 years old) provides a fun and nutritious quest to learn and explore foods of Hawai‘i like ʻulu, sweet potato, banana, green onion and kale. Parents, early childhood educators, and other caring adults can foster curiosity and introduce nutritious whole foods grown in Hawai‘i with keiki they love. It contains hours of fun activities, yummy recipes and brain tickling fun facts for the ’ohana to complete together.
All the art in the book was created by Yuko Green, and graphic design by Mike Kong.
Free downloads of the book available at DA BUX and Keiki Heroes.
Both Farm to Keiki and Kai and Hōkū Explore Foods of Hawai‘i are available for purchase.
